MUSIC is a major avenue to connect with God, and we love it when people bring their gifts of music into worship. Hope Ridge offers a number of musical opportunities, which include playing and singing in the Praise Band, helping with technology and media, singing in the Choir, or ringing in the Bell Choir. To connect with the worship ministry of Hope Ridge, email Jared Delaney, our Worship Director, at jared@hoperidge.com.

THE APOSTLES' CREED

The Apostles' Creed as found in the United Methodist Hymnal (UMH 881) affirms core Christian beliefs and is used in

worship settings.

Text of the Apostles' Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead;
he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Significance

The Apostles' Creed serves as a declaration of faith for many Christian denominations, including the United Methodist

Church. It encapsulates essential beliefs about God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the church, making it a vital part of Christian worship and identity. It is often recited during services to affirm the shared faith of the congregation.
For more detailed information or variations, you can refer to the official United Methodist resources or the hymnal itself.
